So, Blogger has been out of commission for awhile so this is coming to you a little late....
And I think that it will come as no surprise that....
Today, I am thankful....
For the blessing of THIS baby. It's nearly unbelievable to me that my delivery is scheduled for Monday, just three days away. That I will only go to sleep three more times before I hold our fourth little darlin' in my arms and see that precious little face for the first time.
It is one of the greatest privileges of my life to be a momma, and as I stared at the ultrasound screen today as the tech measured bones and a little abdomen, checked on the status of the amniotic fluid, and made sure that blood and nutrients were flowing through the baby's cord properly, I just felt overwhelmed with gratitude. And felt a little disbelief that this was the LAST ultrasound. Six years ago when we were walking through a pit called infertility and miscarriage, I could have never pictured this day, expecting our fourth child. And yet, through God's glorious intervention and the wonderful wisdom that He has given to some incredible doctors, I find myself preparing a nursery for the fourth time, washing bassinet sheets, borrowing a double stroller and second crib, washing pacifiers, deciding on baby names, and trying to mentally prepare for another big, family transition. I don't take the blessing lightly.... and I feel it very, very deeply.
I feel....
Grateful. Blessed. Overwhelmed. Anxious. Joyful. Peaceful. Tired. Consumed. Worshipful. Exhausted. Delighted. Elated.
And it is all good....
And such a sweet, sweet time for our family....
